The fixLink® Extender provides users with a high-quality and flexible cable connector for the transmission of 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It enables existing cables to be extended with minimal effort. Decommissioned cables can be reactivated and extended to the required connection point. The extender requires very little space, allowing the limited space available in cable ducts or distribution cabinets to be used efficiently. It can be screwed directly into the cable duct or mounted on a wall. Once installed, the extended cable can be used up to the maximum link length, including for 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission, and supports 4PPoE. The extender is shielded and re-terminable. Each side can be terminated in less than one minute using only diagonal cutters. The freely accessible contact zone ensures consistently high termination quality and reliable transmission performance. The housing is made of nickel-plated die-cast zinc and meets the highest environmental and mechanical requirements. Depending on the version, the extender is suitable for AWG 24–22 installation cables and AWG 27–26 flexible cables or patch cables, as shown in the table below.

- Suitable for 4PPoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3bt
Transmission Properties:
- Ideally suited for the transmission of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) in accordance with IEEE 802.3an and for applications up to 500 MHz in accordance with Cat. 6A and Class EA to ISO/IEC 11801 AMD1/2 and DIN EN 50173-1, with link lengths of more than 90 m.
