H.D.S. / fixLink® Trunk System

The H.D.S. / fixLink® trunk system is designed for copper connections in data centres. It is particularly suitable for cabinet-to-cabinet connections and for connecting consolidation points. The pre-terminated solution combines six RJ45 connections within a braided sleeve and is designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission. It complies with Class EA in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173-1. The cables are supplied pre-terminated at both ends with 6-port H.D.S. modules and fixLink® termination blocks. The breakout length on the fixLink® module side can be selected as required. H.D.S. / fixLink® trunk cables are supplied in custom bundled lengths of up to 45 metres, with individual cables available in lengths of up to 90 metres. Test reports are included. After the cable has been installed, the H.D.S. 6-port module only needs to be mounted in an H.D.S. mounting frame in the distribution cabinet or floor box. Up to 168 RJ45 ports can be connected on the H.D.S. side within three rack units, or up to 18 ports on the H.D.S. side in underfloor installations. For maintenance, the module enclosure can be opened and individual keystone jacks can be replaced when required, without cutting or re-terminating the cable.
