H.D.S. fibre-optic trunk cables are designed for cabinet-to-cabinet connections and for connecting consolidation points. The pre-terminated solution is supplied with test reports and incorporates six LC duplex connections within the trunk cable. It is designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission in accordance with IEEE 802.3. H.D.S. fibre-optic trunk cables are available in custom link lengths with singlemode OS2 or multimode OM3 and OM4 fibres. The maximum packing density is 168 LC duplex ports within 3U or 48 LC duplex ports within 1U. The integrated LED signalling function enables the corresponding remote end of the cable link to be identified reliably during operation.
