The deployment of modern broadband and fibre-optic networks requires solutions that can be precisely adapted to the network structure, site conditions, port requirements and technical specifications. ZVK develops and implements custom outdoor distribution cabinets and Point-of-Presence solutions for a wide range of network architectures.

The systems can be used as central fibre-optic distribution points, multifunctional enclosures or Point-of-Presence solutions. Depending on the project requirements, passive fibre-optic equipment, active transmission equipment, power supply systems, cooling, monitoring, battery systems and utility-company sections can be combined within a single enclosure concept.

Each solution is planned on a project-specific basis and configured upon request.

  • Protected fibre routing, for example using drag chains or defined routing paths
  • Integration of climate-control or ventilation equipment, such as LAT units
  • Preparation for or integration of monitoring functions
  • Battery support or dedicated battery section according to project requirements
  • Cable strain-relief plates, base plates, multiple-entry rubber grommets and clip rails
  • A4 wiring-diagram pocket or holders for site documentation

Custom Design:

As every network architecture has different requirements, each solution is designed on the basis of the relevant project data. Possible planning parameters include:

  • Network type: FTTH, FTTB, FTTx, broadband or wireless applications
  • Location: outdoor area, roadside location, PoP site or technical area
  • Equipment: active, passive or combined
  • Project-specific number of fibre-optic ports
  • Number of microducts depending on the network structure and deployment area
  • Power supply with or without an integrated utility-company or power-supply section
  • Climate control through passive ventilation or active cooling
  • Cabinet monitoring, sensors or preparation for monitoring systems
  • Separate access and locking areas for network operators, service personnel or energy suppliers
  • Connection labelling, wiring-diagram pocket, coordinate system or labelling system
